ODAC Foot '09 Sub Comm !!!

Ladies & Gentlemen + Ah Guas,

May I present to you, Foot Comm '09 !!!

After 2 days of intensive interview of potential candidates by Melissa and me, we finally came out with the line up of sub commers whom we see the potential and experience needed to contribute to Foot '09.

There was only so-so amount of ppl coming for interview lar, total only 26. Wah but some of them really show some potential leadership, especially day 1, we took in 8 out of 11 candidates.

It was SO FUN !!! I really look forward to this day for so long !!! I thinking having a sub comm is the Happiest Thing on Earth man (*haha Iffah u no sub comm~~~) I think as SPOs we really have a duty to look after their welfare and make them feel cosy.

Haha well the deconflicting session was peaceful ar, especially Pumpfest and us, win-win situation. although its not perfect, but its still promising. Optismistic attitude keeps the world running.

There are 2 issues which have been affecting me these few days, and its kindaf make me vexed and makes my decision hard to make.

So I wanna let off steam abit, dun read if it might change ur impression of me k.

The things to say ... (In Chinese, cos better convey my thoughts, and to blur those ppl whu dunno how to read)

1st issue.

朋友﹐我真的不知道你到底在盤旋些什麼 ...

常言道 "良禽擇木而栖"﹐難道 Foot 09 這麼不為你所動嗎 ?
雖然說 "人各有志"﹐但以形勢來看﹐與其成為大塘小魚﹐何不滿于小塘大魚呢 ?
閣下才能價值在於 FOOT ‘09﹐可惜當局者迷。
奉勸友人﹐知人知彼﹐知彼方才是上上之策啊。

在期限盡頭的時刻﹐朋友您令俺品嘗到了無限的失望與不惑。
有言﹐"蘇州過河沒船搭"﹐大勢已定也到了塵埃落定的地步。
但友人的不得志令您自己失落﹐也對 Foot 感到了愧疚。

俺沉思許刻﹐也猶記友人您對 ODAC 的漢心。
今納入友人於俺的陣容﹐並不是憐憫之意或情勢所需﹐而是給予友人一個機遇。
友人切記﹐世間無人是無可或缺的﹐月轉星移的定律是不變的。
不是俺需要您﹐或 Foot 需要您﹐而是您自身要堅定的為 Foot 作出貢獻。

Disclaimer : Just some wild thoughts k~~~I'm very happy and confidence of Foot 09 Committee now and I will give it my best shot. Words are feeble things, and I shall prove it to all with actions.

NTU ODAC Firelight '08

NTU firelight was kindaf special this year, cos I was a Group Leader with Melissa this time round !!!

It was also the first working experience with ODAC Transition Comm. Talking bt it, I really felt very proud to be part of the team and want to thank Wei Si and Jovin for giving me a chance~~yea Hey!~

Ok actually when I post this it has been like 3 weeks before Firelight, but I still want to blog bt it cos I really felt that the trip was a very nice experience for beginners who nv go Pulau Ubin before.


Like last year, this year Firelight rained for quite a long while, so it was quite cooling and moist trekking. The highest point of Ubin is still so Magical !!! I like dark cloudy sky and standing on a tall height ... its an undescribeable feel of the world.


Ke Rui just looks super farny lar. Its super cool to have such seniors in the group like, like Pei Fen, Pei Qin etc, really brings up the spirits.


The campsite was the same this year too, at Noordin Beach. Kaoz ... I slipped and fell when I went to the sea to wash stuff, the beach is very weird !!! Its super slippery with swamp like stuff. Think the water there sucks big time.

At night, it was night walk again !!! Last year I still rem I had a fun time walking with Esther (*cheeky smile), this year it was nothing new sia haha it was just a normal walk. Wat a difference.


Morning came, and it was Chek Java. They actually tot of scraping it this year !!! Heng ar, they provided me with the option of consulting the freshies whether they want. Chek Java is nice !!! Really cannot miss the "Highlight" of Firelight lor !

Anyway the most fun part is go back sch wash tent after camp ... wah really something I nv try before *sob.

NTU ODAC Foot 08 !!! Part 2

Hey ! Heng Jasmine reminded me if not I also forgot that I have to write a Part 2 for Foot 08.

Haha cannot blame lar Old Man forget things very fast.

Anyway ....... where was I ?

Oh yar ! Lets talked bt wat happened when we came back from our Overseas Trip !

As advance party, I was back with the main bulk of ppl. I had to go and settle the PA systems and Projector to be loan. WAT A CHORE ! There was totally no procedure on how to do it and I have to figure out myself. Hmm nvm next log I can tell him exactly how to do it.

Anyway, the highlight of this post rite, is the VIDEO that I made for my bosses Mike and Weiling on their presentation on Foot 08. Because I was sick for so darn long rite, I din manage to do it during the camp, so its rather short, but at least quite presentable lar. (Can u please leave a comment if u view it ??? I spent numerous nights on it !!!)


Well SP night came on the last day, and I activated my Nikon D40 for the night ! CLicking here and there, I guess my SP is quite sad. Haha.

SP night ran smoothly. The night ended successfully, so does FOot 08.


And here I show you 2 hard to take pictures of some sentimental moments of FOot 08, where our comm members cried. There was 5 crybabies of the night, Yonghan, Jasmine, Jean, Liping, Qing Yong, and .... haha the hidden one is our boss Mike.

Afterthoughts

Well ... as I looked back, Foot 08 was formed a year ago, and it passes real fast. I was very glad that it has been very fruitful and fulfilling, we all gave our effort and took every opportunity to cherish every moment.

I would like to stress the CHERISH part. People and things change over time, and there is no gurantee of what happens in the future. All good things comes to an end, and Humans tend not to cherish it while they are still having it. I am very glad that I have came to this resolution, and have abide by it since my good old days on Pawai.

Hmm ... lots of new challenges coming along, and 3 more years to go. 3 yrs is VERY SHORT ! I must do all the things that I planned and paint a pinkish, purplish, yellowish and orangy life within my Uni life !

Division of Chinese 5 : Orientation 08

Hey hey it has been a long time since I blog le sia !

That was because I was very busy and sick after Foot 08 sia, has been sleeping very early and resting as much as possible. So many things happened ... got work with Jingchu for Freshmen Welcome Ceremony 2008, then today just ended was our 中文系迎新会 2008.

所以呢，今天我将要讲迎新会的开心事。首先，我是 GL leh ! 超开心 lor ! 我 gian 了很久了，真开心委员们给我这个机会。 婉晶是我的 Co-GL， 带领了 "康熙" 组玩了一天 wor。


今天一开始呢，我们便玩 "破冰游戏" la ! 我当然要玩我最拿手的 ODAC Ice Breaker lar, 有 Ti Ti Ti, Tuki Tuki, 武林大会, etc。 不错啊，我很认真的从别的 GL 偷师了，所以应该 conduct 的还 OK. 当然，有一些 Games Version 不一样，是这样的啦~~~

接着，就进行了一些中文系的介绍。。。sian de。 但好玩的在后头，就是 Mass Dance lar ! 中文系委员们真的很不错 lei, 竟然可以弄一个舞蹈出来，真不简单 ! 我玩的很尽性啊，

YE ! 我有跟一个很可爱的学姐跳 wor ! Hmm ... 不讲名啦，但蛮 Cool de.

Anyway， 除了有 Orientation Around School 之外，还有更多的跳舞。我觉得，中文系委员会太神了，竟然可以把这么多东西放在一天内举行 *掌声鼓励鼓励 !

当然，今天我最在意的，当然是我自己对自己的表现评估了。
我上一次当 GL， 是 JC 的时候。蛮久以前了，但那时我还记得我自己所有的动力和魄力, 是一种令人感到活力与生命存在的感觉。

这次呢，不错啊，我尽全力了! 蛮开心我还是 OK 的吧。但有几样东西可以进步，像是多了解新生需要什么，讲话要眼神交流，要如何应付他们，带动气氛等等。Hmm ... 我组拿倒数第二，好像我没达到标准 hor ? 其实我是 Gian 第一的 Chocolate lar， 哈哈。

算了 ! 尽力就好，起码有 3 个 Freshie SMS 我说谢谢，哇心理超甜 lor !

明天开学了，又有新的挑战等待着我了。来吧 !
