My recess break Adventure Frenzy continues as I went Jeram Toi today !!!It is part of the reccee for FOOT 08, and along with the party was Weiling, Ruyan, Yonghan and Me.
Wah I sacrifice alot for this trip cos I missed my HC 214 meeting, felt so bad~~~sorry sorry.
The day started Super Early when we met at 7am@Kranji MRT. Standard procedure follows as we took bus to Larkin Bus Terminal and search for a bus to Seremban.
Seremban is called 芙蓉 , which is quite a famous state of Malaysia which my Mom always mentioned. Yea so happy to check out another place. The bus ticket cost RM 25, quite ex as compared to other trips.The ride took us 4 hours, from 0830 hrs - 1230 hrs, and we reached the town area of Negeri Sembilan. Chop Chop we go find the return trip timing back first, before chionging to grab lunch. Yea KFC, the best fast food in Malaysia.
After which, we took a taxi to Jeram Toi (RM 35 to , RM 35 back) at 1330. It was rather fast before we reached the campsite, and we started our climb at 1400 hrs.
YESH ! After the horrifying experience in Endau Rompin of Leech Attack, I decided to wear Kampong Adidas (Cheap Rubber Shoe) for this trek, and it saved the day for me haha (Zero Bites)
We first checked out the campsite, which is not that good, considering the slanting gradient(Yonghan say if rain all GG alr) and various obstacles such as rocks and huts around. There was also no vast area for activities such as campfire like wat we saw in Endau Rompin, *tsk tsk
Well the trek was rather easy so to say, but because we bashed thru, it was quite challenging and exciting. What was fun for me was the many boulders along the rapids up, and I can utilitize my judgment and leg power to *hop around. Its fun, like some parts where I need use to my fingers to lift myself up like bouldering. Its ok for guys but I think it will be quite a challenge to newbies.
There were Mini-Waterfalls during the trek, which was quite refreshing in the forest, but it wasnt that worthwhile for the trek as a whole. Nonetheless, we tried to cover as much of the distance we could, before a part where there was no more visible route before making out way back.
So who are the Feeders this trip ? They are none other than Yonghan and Ruyan who kept getting Leeches on their legs, in-between their toes ... ~~~eekks~~~ There was this particular Leech which has fed on Ruyan's blood for so long, and we used some lotion on it. First, it detached itself from Ruyan's leg, before puking all the blood it has in its stomach. Yonghan dealt the final blow by Blasting it with antiseptic spray. I took a close-up ~~bleugh*
After some more trek up another route, it was around 1600 hrs when we decided to call it a day and went on to take pics. Washed up, toilet break, munched biscuits, then its time to take the taxi back at 1630 hrs.We reached back at the bus terminal around 1715 hrs, and we decided that its best if we take the 1830 hrs bus. We bought the tickets, before went on a Road March to search for Weiling's Fav Food for Dinner, A&W. Biang sia we walked for like 20 mins lor, before finally found the A&W at a corner.
Haha at A&W, the star of the day was the Ice-Cream Waffles, which I finally decided to try (I always doesnt think good of it) Yummy !!! plus the companion and food, Weiling's lame songs, this trip is really cool !The bus ride took 4 hrs again, before we reached customs and proceeded with the procedures to get back to Singapore. The interesting thing was the search for the run-away fugitive, which has activated numerous army personnel to be stationed. I tell u man, the trucks waiting to go into Johor lined up all the way from the customs to Kranji MRT, felt so sad for the drivers.
Anyway, a day well spent again, time to study~~~
